CBSE launches toll-free helpline for students
On March 21, Central Board of Secondary O Education (CBSE) launched a toll-free helpline on coronavirus safegaurds for students. This facility is available on helpline number 1800118004 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Earlier, on March 18, the Board postponed ongoing class 10, 12 examinations till March 31 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Hindu New Year 2077 begins
On March 26, commonly known as Hindu O Panchang, the Hindu New Year 2077 began. It is officially known as Vikram Samrat 2077 or Nav Samvatsar 2077. As per the Hindu calendar, the new year of Vikram Samrat starts from Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Tithi.
Trifed officials unlease power of webnars
On March 29, around 500 officials of TRIFED (the Tribal cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India) O operating under ministry of Tribal affairs unleased the power of webinars i.e. Seminar conducted over the internet. The TRIFED Van Dhan GIS-based website gathered more than 50 lakh tribal gatherers spread across 27 different states.
Indian Army launches Operation Namaste
On March 27, The Indian Army launched 'Operation Namaste' to contain the spread of O corona virus in the country. Under the operation, the army will help the Government of India fight against the deadly disease. Under the operation, Indian Army has established eight quarantines so far. Also, command-wise helpline numbers have been established.
Meet the Superhero — Vadie Sides
On March 27, a four-year old girl was found alive by searchers after being missing in a Lee County wooded O area. The girl lost with her dog for more than 48 hours in rural Alabama woods. Evelyn 'Vadie' sides, who vanished while walking with her red hound dog, Lucy, was found after almost two full days of searches. ‘We took a walk but then I got too fast and got running and got lost then I started calling for nanny but nanny was too far,’ Vadie said.
